Times have changed…

So… I am outside of the building that I work in and I hear two guys talking upstairs. One is talking about what I am sure is some form of female prostitution and the other may have just been lost during the conversation. However, he eventually chimed in a added his 1/2 cents worth, which was disgusting.

I sat downstairs and thought, “okay, I take it back. It’s not just gay people.” What happened to the basic respect of sexes and of ourselves. Maybe I am a bit uptight but I don’t care to talk about sexual matters outside of the proper company (and I can’t think of many that I would discuss it with). I will not rant about it or make others feel as if they are wrong but a point must be made.

There was a time when men respected women. There was a time where gay dating was not like looking for a needle in a landfill (it’s beyond the haystack scenario). Someone knows what I am talking about! Is it impossible to get back there? Or am wrong for even wanting to see chivalrous acts become more of a societal standard again?

I know I can get on a soapbox and never get off! However, someone has to debate this! If for no other reason, for intelligence sake 🙂

It’s Friday night…

Yes… It is Friday night and I am sitting on the couch with reading glasses, my phone is placed beside me on the couch (in case someone text me), and it’s raining. Ugh. This is what I have become. The Hallmark channel seems really appealing but I swore I would not watch “The Countdown to Christmas” anymore this week.

However, I know there is some club crazed 31 year old that is putting on jeans that are a danger to his circulatory system and a shirt that he thinks makes him look thinner. Did I mention that it is raining here? Well he will be walking out into this rain storm in a couple of hours to be drenched in the club while I sit here perfectly dry and wonder where life picks up speed.

It’s truly IRONIC that I don’t want to be in this crowd. Some don’t grow out of it and that is okay. Many are busy chasing something in life. This blog is not here to judge anyone but it is here for those that find themselves waiting on someone to text and have this honest “respectfullygay” attitude. We don’t have to go out and get wet and be drenched in our overly tight jeans. I am on a mission to find those guys that like being just “gay.” Now, don’t get me wrong… we have all done some things that we are not proud of! However, have you found yourself wondering if there are any other guys like you? Do you sometimes feel like you are REALLY the ONLY one?

Lets talk about it! There is no reason to sit at home on a FRIDAY NIGHT with your phone beside you on the couch (in case someone text you… yea right), with it raining.

Sincerely,
